Auswest Seeds began as West Bros Seeds in the early 1950's when the West Brothers' farming operation expanded into pasture seed production. Their initial modest seed cleaning plant and sales outlet blossomed into a trading, distribution and marketing business with connections throughout Australia.
In 1995 the family owned company became Auswest Seeds (AWS), with a move to new premises, in Forbes, housing state of the art seed cleaning and processing equipment, extensive bulk seed storage, processed seed warehousing and offices.
Auswest Seeds is now the largest independently owned wholesaler of Pasture Seed in NSW and commands an expanding share of the pasture market in QLD and northern NSW.
We are seed wholesalers, dealing with the seed trade and seed resellers only. We do not deal directly with end-users. It is a major part of our role to provide technical support to resellers and their clients, in conjunction with the companies whose products we distribute.
Auswest Seeds is also a member of the Seed Industry Association of Australia Ltd (SIAA). We have been assessed and have full accreditation for the SIAA Code of Practice for seed labelling and marketing.
